23 year old indian IM Srinath Narayanan (2505) has been flying high in the Faroes Open so far. Before today’s game he was in the lead with 4½ points – ½ point clear of the two followers, GM Julio Ernesto Granda Zuniga (2656) and GM Allan Stig Rasmussen (2540).
Today he had white against one of those followers, GM Allan Stig Rasmussen (2540) and again IM Srinath Narayanan (2505) managed to beat one of his closest opponents and make his position at the top of the table even stronger. And his position on the top got even stronger, when Faroese grandmaster GM Helgi Dam Ziska (2544) got a draw against GM Julio Ernesto Granda Zuniga (2656) meaning IM Srinath Narayanan is now one point clear at the top. Tomorrow he will play GM Helgi Dam Ziska (2544).
