The other contender in the top, GM Vitaly Kunin (2538) had black against leader GM Srinath Narayanan (2549). He had a chance to get past GM Srinath Narayanan (2549) in the top with a win, but the indian grandmaster obviously likes being and playing chess in the Faroe Island. He won a small advantage early in the game with white and he managed to build on that advantage throughout the very long game. GM Srinath Narayanan (2549) is now a full point ahead of his closest competitors.
