GM Srinath Narayanan (2549) is now in very good spot to win the Faroes Open for a second year in a row. Before today’s games he was already in the lead with a ½ point down to the likes of GM Normunds Miezis (2463), GM Gawain Jones (2670) and GM Vitaly Kunin (2538).

He won a small advantage early in the game with white and he managed to build on that advantage throughout the very long game. He ended up winning the game, and now GM Srinath Narayanan (2549) is 1 point ahead of his closest contenders, GM Normunds Miezis (2463) and GM Gawain Jones (2670).
