There were two players leading the way after the games yesterday with 3½ points and they met each other in today’s round. FM Rógvi Egilstoft Nielsen (2353) had white against IM Srinath Narayanan (2505) and it was IM Srinath Narayanan (2505), who won the game. He is now alone in the lead with 4½ points for the first 5 games.
There are a couple of players right after IM Srinath Narayanan (2505). GM Julio Ernesto Granda Zuniga (2656) is one them. He had white against GM Miguel Muñoz (2495) and managed to take his fourth win of the tournament, while danish grandmaster GM Allan Stig Rasmussen (2540) also got a win with white against IM Martin Haubro (2365) in a very long game lasting for 5½ hours and 97 moves.
